DD Studio Membership

DD Studio Membership is designed for independent mosaic artists, returning students, and creative people looking for a welcoming and inspiring place to work on ongoing mosaic projects at their own pace.

The studio is a shared creative workspace built around community, curiosity, and hands-on making. Membership provides access to the studio, tools, materials, and the freedom to develop your own work in a calm and supportive environment.

Membership Includes

  • Open studio access from 10am–10pm, 7 days/week (excluding scheduled workshops or events)

  • Reservation-based studio time in 3-hour blocks

  • Up to 6 hours of studio use per day

  • Shared workspace and access to studio tools

  • Use of grinders, cutting tools, and common work areas

  • Ability to leave projects in progress between visits

  • $10 discount on workshops

  • 48-hour early access to workshop registration

  • Access to a growing community of mosaic artists and makers

Open Studio

Open Studio is intended for independent work time. Members should already have a basic understanding of mosaic processes and studio tools, either through previous experience or participation in a DD Studio workshop.

Debbie may or may not be present during your visit. If she is in the studio, she is usually happy to help members get oriented or answer quick questions while they become familiar with the space. However, Open Studio is not intended as instructional time.

If you need additional support, technical guidance, design help, or assistance with a more complex project, please schedule a Student Consult or attend a mosaic workshop.

Projects & Materials

Membership covers access to the studio and shared tools. Project fees and specialty materials are additional.

  • New projects up to 10"x10" may be started for a $20 project fee

  • Larger or specialty projects may require additional material fees

  • Fees are payable in studio via QR code at the material wall

Members are welcome to bring their own materials as appropriate.

Guests

Members may occasionally bring one guest during Open Studio hours.

  • Guest fee: $25

  • Project/material fees apply separately

  • Guests must be accompanied by the member at all times

  • Open Studio guest visits are intended for independent creative time and not formal instruction

Shared Studio Culture

DD Studio is a shared creative environment rooted in respect, inclusivity, and community care. Members are expected to:

  • Clean up their workspace after each visit

  • Return shared tools and materials

  • Be mindful of noise and shared space

  • Treat fellow artists with kindness and respect

  • Leave the studio better than they found it

The goal is to create a space that feels welcoming, creatively energizing, and supportive for everyone working within it.
