🌿 Found Forms & Objects for Mosaics 🌿

Step into the next level of mosaic art with this multi-session workshop designed for adventurous makers! Over two to three sessions, you’ll expand your mosaic practice through the use of alternative backing materials, found objects, and thoughtful design planning with stencils.

We’ll explore which substrates and materials are effective for mosaics. Along the way, you’ll gain hands-on experience cutting and shaping backing and mosaic materials using a range of studio tools, including a tile ring saw, wood chop saw, glass grinders, and an array of cutters and nippers. These skills will help you confidently incorporate unusual materials into your mosaics.

Using stencils as guides, you’ll also learn strategies for planning layouts, balancing composition, and creating stronger mosaic outcomes. By the end, you’ll have a finished piece and the knowledge to bring new materials, new techniques, and smarter planning into your mosaic practice.
