🎄 Mosaic Gnomes & Trees Workshop 🎄

Celebrate the season with a weekend of mosaic making! In this playful workshop, you’ll create 1 or 2, 8–10 inch cylindrical gnomes or Christmas trees, decorated with colorful glass and tile. These whimsical sculptures make perfect holiday décor or heartfelt handmade gifts.

The workshop spans two days: Saturday is a full creative session, and Sunday offers additional finishing time to complete your pieces at a relaxed pace. With snacks, coffee, tea, and even an optional happy-hour glass of wine, it’s a cozy, festive way to spend a weekend making art.

All tools and materials are included, and if you find yourself hooked, you can purchase extra gnome/tree bases to keep the creativity going.

Length: Saturday 10–5 (with lunch break) + 11-1 or 2 on Sunday
Level: All skill levels welcome

In this workshop you will learn…

  • Safety, tools, and materials demo

  • Tips for working in the round (cylindrical mosaics)

  • Andamento and flow: creating movement on a curved surface

  • Techniques for applying glass + tile on 3D forms

  • How to grout and finish your gnome or tree

You will make, at least:

  • One or two 8–10 inch cylindrical gnomes or Christmas trees (your choice, other sizes will be available)

  • The experience of shaping and applying glass + tile to curved forms

  • A finished, grouted holiday mosaic ready to display or gift 🎁

Extras included:

  • Complimentary fruit, nuts, coffee, and tea

  • Extra gnome/tree bases (first 2 come with the WS) available for $50 each (all materials included, but more studio time may be needed)
